Mario Uribe Counseling

Transformative Relational Therapy serving greater South Austin, Buda and Kyle

Do you feel disconnected from your spouse—longing to connect but feeling frustrated, sad, or stuck? Maybe you’re avoiding conflict to feel safe, yet still find yourself walking on eggshells. The pain of disconnection can feel overwhelming, even hopeless at times. But beneath the struggles of fighting, avoiding, and blaming, your bond still exists. Or perhaps your challenges feel more personal than relational? Whatever you're facing, you're not alone.

With specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help build lasting emotional connections. I also support neurodiverse individuals experiencing ADHD and ASD, as well as other difficulties related to anxiety and depression, among other challenges. Serving the greater Austin area, I provide in-office services in Buda, well within reach of South Austin, Kyle and neighboring areas. I also maintain limited availability at my Round Rock office, and limited virtual sessions to accommodate local and statewide residents who prefer remote services.

Therapy Services

Offering in-person and virtual counseling

Weekly in-person and virtual counseling is available for couples and individual adults to include adult ADHD specialization, integrating Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). I also offer faith-based relational therapy for couples and individuals. I am a licensed therapist for Texas residents.

Couples & Marital Therapy

In your heart, you know what matters most in life is loving and being loved—so when that isn’t happening in your marriage, you feel lost and hurt. Whether being upset over maintaining the house, finances, or not dancing together, these tense moments are typically indicative of deeper concerns between a couple.

With couples therapy, partners will learn to address conflict in the evolving cycles that come about on life’s journey.

Neurodiversity / Adult ADHD

ADHD is not relegated to teens and children.  ADHD is neurological; it is not a mental illness, and it does not require you to be hyperactive (relatively few adults with ADHD suffer hyperactivity). As one prominent ADHD authority suggested: ADHD is no more your fault than nearsightedness is the fault of those who wear glasses.

Difficulties related to focus and distraction, often showing up as procrastination, difficulty beginning and/or completing tasks, managing time, etc. can present both relational and individual challenges that can benefit from treatment.

Treating adult ADHD requires attending to the particular needs of the individual. Working with a well-matched therapist can begin a process of self-acceptance, healing and effective life management. Within the context of marriage or couples counseling, ADHD can be accepted, understood and “seen” by couples as they lovingly seek new pathways toward a stronger bond with one another.

Individual Counseling

I provide generalized adult individual counseling services for persons seeking individual help in matters related to mood, (such as depression) anxiety, (or difficulties with “stress,” panic attacks, etc.) neurological challenges (such as ADHD, ASD) as well as addiction-related, relational or other intrapersonal difficulties.

My approach is to always provide a safe, non-judgmental environment from which to agree on your needs, desires and goals, and, in serving individual clients, to “meet you where you are.”
